HAWARI: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama dan Keagamaan Islam, published by the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, Indonesia, welcomes evidence-based questions, comments, critiques, and scholarly responses concerning its published articles.
Post-publication discussion provides an opportunity to clarify research methods, findings, interpretations, limitations, and implications, thereby supporting scholarly communication, academic transparency, and the integrity of published research in Islamic religious education and Islamic religious studies.
Post-publication discussion may address the following matters:
Research questions, theoretical frameworks, and conceptual arguments.
Study design, sampling procedures, measurement instruments, and analytical methods.
Interpretation of research data, findings, and conclusions.
Relevant empirical evidence or scholarly literature that materially affects the interpretation of published findings.
Research limitations, reproducibility, and alternative explanations.
Educational, theoretical, or practical implications of published research.
Potential factual errors, methodological concerns, or omissions requiring clarification.
Comments and scholarly responses should be submitted to the editorial team through the journal's official contact channel using the following subject line:
Subject: Post-Publication Discussion: [Article Title or DOI]
Contributors should provide the following information:
The title, DOI, or URL of the published article being discussed.
A clear explanation of the question, comment, critique, or scholarly concern.
Specific references to relevant passages, tables, figures, research methods, or findings.
Supporting evidence or scholarly references, where appropriate.
The contributor's name, contact details, institutional affiliation where applicable, and any relevant competing interests.
No fixed deadline applies to raising substantive concerns about published articles. Contributors are encouraged to report relevant issues promptly to facilitate timely scholarly clarification and editorial assessment.
The editorial team of HAWARI assesses submitted comments and scholarly responses based on their relevance, clarity, supporting evidence, academic significance, and respectful presentation.
Constructive criticism must not be excluded merely because it challenges the conclusions of a published article or a previous editorial decision.
Where appropriate, the editor may request additional clarification, seek independent expert advice, or invite the original author or authors to respond to the issues raised.
Author responses are expected to demonstrate scholarly accuracy, relevance, transparency, and professional academic conduct.
The absence of an author response does not automatically prevent the publication of a substantive scholarly critique. When appropriate, the journal may indicate that the original authors were invited to respond but did not submit a response.
Substantive comments and scholarly responses may be published as letters, commentaries, editorial correspondence, or other appropriate forms of academic communication and linked to the original published article.
Submission of a comment or response does not automatically guarantee its publication.
The editorial team reserves the right to request revisions or decline submissions containing:
Personal attacks or inappropriate accusations.
Abusive, offensive, or discriminatory language.
Unsupported allegations presented as established facts.
Confidential personal information disclosed without authorization.
Promotional or commercially motivated content unrelated to scholarly discussion.
Repetitive comments that do not provide additional academic value.
Anonymous or confidential reports containing specific and verifiable concerns about research integrity will be assessed under the journal's Research Misconduct Policy.
The journal will discuss public attribution of scholarly correspondence with contributors before publication, subject to applicable confidentiality requirements and research integrity considerations.
Post-publication discussion does not automatically modify, replace, or invalidate a published article.
When scholarly discussion identifies a potential error, omission, or concern affecting the accuracy of published research, the editorial team will assess the matter and determine whether further action is necessary.
Verified errors or issues affecting the reliability and integrity of the scholarly record will be addressed through the journal's applicable correction, expression of concern, retraction, or research misconduct procedures.
Any necessary editorial action will be undertaken in accordance with applicable publication ethics principles and the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
HAWARI: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama dan Keagamaan Islam is committed to encouraging constructive scholarly dialogue, critical academic engagement, fair assessment of scholarly criticism, and transparent handling of substantive concerns.
The journal recognizes post-publication discussion as an important component of responsible scholarly communication and continuous academic improvement.
Through this policy, HAWARI seeks to strengthen the accuracy, reliability, accountability, and integrity of published research while fostering an open and respectful academic environment in Islamic religious education and Islamic religious studies.
