Conflict of Interest

HAWARI: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama dan Keagamaan Islam, published by the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, Indonesia, is committed to maintaining transparency, integrity, objectivity, accountability, and fairness throughout the research and scholarly publication process.

All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and editorial board members, are expected to disclose and appropriately manage any potential conflicts of interest that could influence, or reasonably be perceived as influencing, the integrity of research findings, manuscript evaluation, and editorial decisions.

1. Disclosure by Authors

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, personal, academic, or other relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the design, conduct, analysis, interpretation, or reporting of their research.

Potential conflicts of interest may include financial support, institutional affiliations, professional relationships, personal connections, or other circumstances that could affect the independence and objectivity of the research.

All relevant disclosures must be provided transparently in the submitted manuscript, preferably in a dedicated Conflict of Interest Statement section.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their declarations are accurate, complete, and updated if relevant circumstances change during the editorial and publication process.

Disclosure of a potential conflict of interest does not automatically disqualify a manuscript from consideration. However, failure to disclose relevant competing interests may result in additional editorial assessment or other appropriate actions in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

2. Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers

Editors and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could compromise, or reasonably be perceived as compromising, their impartiality, independence, and objectivity in evaluating submitted manuscripts.

Such conflicts may arise from financial interests, institutional relationships, professional collaborations, personal relationships, academic competition, or other relevant circumstances.

Editors and reviewers must withdraw from the editorial handling or peer-review process whenever their impartiality could reasonably be questioned.

When a potential conflict of interest is identified, HAWARI will take appropriate measures to maintain the fairness and independence of the evaluation process, including assigning another editor or reviewer when necessary.

Editorial decisions must be based exclusively on the scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, relevance, and ethical compliance of submitted manuscripts.

3. Declaration of No Competing Interests

Authors must explicitly declare in their manuscripts when no competing interests exist.

When authors have no relevant financial, institutional, professional, personal, or other interests that could influence the research or publication process, the following statement may be included:

"The authors declare that they have no competing interests that could have influenced the research, interpretation of findings, or publication of this article."

If potential competing interests exist, authors must clearly describe their nature and relevance in the Conflict of Interest Statement.

Transparent declarations enable editors, reviewers, and readers to assess the independence, credibility, and integrity of published research.

4. Editorial Commitment

HAWARI: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama dan Keagamaan Islam is committed to ensuring that all potential conflicts of interest are identified, disclosed, and managed transparently and responsibly.

The journal seeks to maintain an impartial editorial and peer-review process in which publication decisions are made objectively and fairly, without inappropriate influence from personal, professional, institutional, academic, or financial relationships.

Through the implementation of this policy, HAWARI aims to strengthen research integrity, promote ethical scholarly communication, and maintain the confidence of authors, reviewers, readers, and the wider academic community.
